The Webster Parish Fair will kick off at the Webster Parish Fairgrounds on Tuesday, October 1 with a parade in downtown Minden starting at 5 PM. The first evening will also feature the livestock weigh-in at 5 PM and the poultry and rabbit show at 6 PM. Rides will not be available on Tuesday.
Gate fees of $2 will begin Wednesday, with rides opening at 6 PM. “Armband Nite” will offer unlimited rides with a purchased armband. The 4-H Swine Showmanship competition will start at 6 PM, followed by swine weight classes in the livestock arena.
Thursday, October 3, will feature Senior Citizens Day at the Civic Center from 9 AM until 1:30 PM. Rides will open at 6 PM, with another “Armband Nite.” At 6 PM, the 4-H Goat, Lamb, and Beef Showmanship competitions will take place, with the 4-H Dairy and Doug Sale Showmanship Award at 7 PM.
Friday’s events will include the Buyer’s Luncheon at 11:30 AM, followed by the Livestock Auction at 1 PM in the 4-H Show Barn. Rides will again open at 6 PM.
The fair will wrap up on Saturday, October 5, with gates opening at 1 PM for Kids Day from 1 PM to 5 PM. A pizza eating contest, sponsored by Johnny’s Pizza, will take place at 2 PM.
