A Cullen man was arrested Wednesday night after repeatedly refusing to leave a residence on Shreveport Road, according to Minden police.
Officers responded to the 1300 block of Shreveport Road at 10:55 PM on September 25, following a report of a verbal disturbance. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the homeowner, who stated that a male subject, identified as Nathan Thomas, 29, was involved in the disturbance and had refused to leave the property despite multiple requests.
Thomas had reportedly packed his belongings, preparing to leave, but informed officers that he was unwilling to do so due to work obligations the following morning. Police said Thomas exhibited belligerent and aggressive behavior, prompting the homeowner to ask that he be removed from the premises.
Although officers spoke with Thomas at length, he initially refused to leave but eventually complied and left the residence. However, less than an hour later, officers were dispatched to the same location after Thomas re-entered the home without permission.
Thomas was taken into custody without incident during the second encounter. He was advised of his rights and transported to the Minden Police Department, where he was booked on charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
