A Glenbrook player injured in a junior high game Tuesday night was “in good spirits” at a Shreveport hospital, according to a Facebook post by Glenbrook Athletic Director James Thurman.
Thurman wrote in a post that the player “has no broken bones or any major injuries” but was probably going to be in the hospital overnight as a precautionary measure because he was unconscious.
The player was injured during a game against Cedar Creek in Ruston. He was airlifted to the hospital in Shreveport.
According to Thurman, the player’s back and neck was hurting but he had “regained feeling in his feet and can lift both feet.”
In a Facebook photo, both teams are seen together praying at midfield.
Thurman thanked supporters for their many prayers.
