A 30-year-old Sibley man was arrested Thursday night after Minden police responded to reports of a disturbance at a residence on Middle Landing. The suspect, identified as Jamarion Jamon Sneed Sr., now faces multiple charges related to domestic violence and resisting arrest.
Officers arrived at the scene around 8:50 PM, where they were met by several juveniles who reported that the suspect was inside the home on top of their mother. Responding officers entered the residence, announcing their presence as members of the Minden Police Department. Sneed responded, indicating that they were in a middle room of the house.
Upon entering the room, officers observed Sneed on top of the victim. Despite verbal commands to disengage, Sneed resisted initial attempts by officers to take him into custody. After Sneed pulled away from an officer’s grasp, an officer deployed a Taser to the suspect’s lower back. This allowed officers to gain control and secure Sneed in handcuffs.
Sneed was informed of his Miranda rights, which he waived, and was subsequently transported to the Minden Police Department. He was booked on charges of domestic abuse battery with strangulation, domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, and resisting an officer.
Authorities have not released further information regarding the condition of the victim or any additional details about the incident.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
