High school swimming: Glenbrook girls 10th, boys 15th in Division IV state meet

The Glenbrook girls finished 10th and boys 15th in the LHSAA Division IV State Swim Meet Thursday at the SPAR Aquatic Center in Sulphur.

The Glenbrook foursome of sophomore Amelia Lott, freshman Grace Dennin, senior Gwyneth Lott and eighth-grader Ava Chandler finished seventh in the girls 400 freestyle relay.

Gwyneth Lott, Chandler, Amelia Lott and Emily Chanler  combined for a 10th-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay.

Emily Chanler was 10th in the girls 100 freestyle. Sophomore Mollie Thurman was 12th in the 100 backstroke.

The foursome of freshman Samuel Scroggs, seventh-grader Max Scroggs, freshman Carson Whitehead and seventh-grader Maddox Snider finished 10th in the boys 200 freestyle and the 400 freestyle relays.

Glenbrook scored 56 points in the girls division, just 11 behind sixth-place finisher The Dunham School. Glenbrook scored 26 in the boys division 

Pope John Paul II of Slidell swept the boys and girls titles.
