The Minden Crimson Tide and Doyline Panthers continued their hot starts to the season with victories Tuesday night.
Minden downed Lakeside 64-33 in Sibley, and Doyline defeated North Webster 73-58 in Springhill.
The Crimson Tide improved to 5-0. The Panthers improved to 11-1 and extended their winning streak to eight.
Elsewhere, Glenbrook fell to Ouachita Christian 56-37 in its season opener at home.
At Lakeside, four Crimson Tide players scored in double figures. Cameron Parker and Darnell Morris had 12 points each. Jaiden Franklin had 11 and Christian Lofton 10.
Jackson led Lakeside (0-3) with 15.
Minden hosts Byrd Friday. Lakeside hosts Homer Thursday.
Doyline visits Plain Dealing Friday. North Webster (0-3) visits Byrd Thursday.
Glenbrook visits Simsboro Friday.
In girls games, Minden defeated Lakeside 47-34, North Webster defeated Doyline 52-28 and Glenbrook fell to Ouachita Christian.
At Lakeside, Minden’s Brooklyn Jefferson had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds (three offensive). She also had four steals.
