Authorities have released the name of a Webster Parish man who died weeks after being beaten outside a downtown Shreveport nightspot.
Christopher J. Temple, 43, was assaulted in the 400 block of Commerce Street just before 5:40 AM on January 26, police said. He was taken to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he underwent surgery before being transferred to The Carpenter’s House Hospice. He died from his injuries at 12:15 AM on February 15.
Temple’s death marks Shreveport’s fifth homicide of the year. The Shreveport Police Department continues to investigate, and an autopsy has been ordered.
