Homer woman arrested on theft, food stamp fraud charges

A Homer woman was arrested in the 800 block of Main Street after allegedly taking cash from a register and using her food stamp card to pay for a customer’s purchase.

Kayla Frazier, 34, was booked on multiple charges with the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office. Charges included unauthorized use of food stamps, failure to appear for careless operation, failure to appear for speeding, failure to appear for driving under suspension, failure to appear for switched plates, and failure to appear for simple battery.

Authorities took Frazier into custody without incident. No further details were available at the time of the arrest.

All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
