Sharpe’s Department Store is marking 30 years in the Springhill community with a celebration this Saturday, featuring a chili cook-off fundraiser, food, games, prizes, music, and shopping.
The event begins at noon at Sharpe’s Department Store, located at 522 S. Main Street. The cook-off will include a $25 entry fee per team, with a $5 fee per serving for attendees who want to sample the competition.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit The Grace Closet, a ministry of Community Church North Webster, and LaMa Animal Rescue & Support Services.
Sharpe’s Department Store manager Teresa Lowery encourages the community to take part in the festivities and noted that teams can still register for the cook-off.
