Webster Ready Start Network to host registration events for early childhood education

by Amber McDown

The Webster Ready Start Network is set to host two registration events for 2025-26 early childhood education programs, offering families an opportunity to enroll children from birth to four years old in high-quality learning programs.

The Springhill/North Webster Parish event will take place on Friday, March 14, at the North Webster High School gymnasium, located at 101 S. Arkansas Street. The Minden/South Webster Parish event will follow on Friday, March 21, at the Minden REC, 1000 Recreation Drive. Both events will run from 9 AM to 2 PM.

Themed “Once Upon a Time,” the registration events will provide information on available early childhood education options, including Head Start for children 18 months to four years old, Early Learning Centers for birth to four years old, and Webster Parish Schools Pre-K programs for four-year-olds.

The Webster Ready Start Network consists of 18 early childhood sites, including 10 Type III Early Learning Centers, three Early Head Start/Head Start programs, and five public Pre-K schools. These programs aim to prepare children for kindergarten by fostering cognitive, social-emotional, and fine motor skills critical to long-term academic success.
