The first outdoor meet of the 2025 outdoor season in Webster Parish ended with a tie for first in the boys division.
Minden and Green Oaks both scored 110.5 points. North Webster was a close third with 105.5. Lakeside finished fourth with 91.
Lakeside took the girls division with 138.5 points. Minden finished second with 102.
Boys
Minden trailed Green Oaks by two points going into the 4X400 relay, the final event of the meet.
The Crimson Tide foursome of Kaiden Shine, Brayden Britton, Tyson Oestriech and Porter Neal easily won the event in 3 minutes, 45.7 seconds, adding 10 points the team’s total. Green Oaks finished second in 3:59.41, scoring eight points.
Minden also won the 4X100 and 4X200 relays.
Jaden Johnson, Shine, Shmar George and Porter ran a 45.54 in the 4X100. The North Webster foursome of Dejuan Coleman, Jameson Harden, Jakayden Jackson and Jeremyiah Washington was second in 45.70.
Oestriech, Shine, Britton and Porter ran an 1:33.28 in the 4X200. Green Oaks was second in 1:34.63.
Britton and Porter both won individual events. Britton took the 110 hurdles in 17.11. Lakeside’s James Maxie was second in 19.61.
Neal won the 400 in 51.62. North Webster’s Xaeliin Gladney was second in 54.63.
Minden’s Lincoln Woods took the 300 hurdles in 44.57. Homer’s Kevin Williams was second in 49.04.
North Webster’s Jkobe Lawson won the 100 in 11.35. Jonesboro-Hodge’s Christian McGuire finished second in 11.51.
Minden’s Demetrius Robinson captured the shot put with a throw of 42 feet, 8 inches. Lakeside’s Kentravion Miller was second with a 42-7.
North Webster’s Javion Hawthorne won the discus with a toss of 128-8. Minden’s Jonathan Bradford was a close second with a 125-5.
North Webster’s Jamyrian Jackson took the javelin with a 124-3. Green Oaks’ Tovares Lee was second with a 119-10.
Lakeside’s Luke Mandino won the 3,200 in 15:05.16. Haynesville’s Carl Smith was second in 15:37.65.
Lakeside’s Levi Bogdan took the pole vault with a 7-0. North Webster’s Coleman tied for first in the high jump with a 5-8.
The North Webster foursome of Logan Cleveland, Kazavion Evans, Hawthorne and Stephen Merritt took second in the 4X800 relay in 10:03.33. Green Oaks won in 9:28.21.
Merritt was also second in the 1,600 in 5:47.21. Green Oaks’ Cyrus Wilson won in 5:46.42.
Girls
Lakeside’s Lexi Bradley was a double winner, taking the 800 in 2:44.62 and the 3,200 in 13:37.43. Bradley’s teammate Angel Collins was second in the 800 in 3:09.53. Magnolia’s Katelynn White was second in the 3,200 in 16:38.85.
Bradley also teamed with Annie Cooper, Bailey Mangrum and Alexis McIntosh to win the 4X800 relay in 11:37.82. The North Webster foursome of Rebecca Downs, Hallie Rhodes, Ina Alouja and Anna Merritt was second in 14:19.50.
Lakeside’s McKenzie Chase and Collins were 1-2 in the pole vault, scoring 18 points. Chase cleared 7 feet and Collins 6-0.
Lakeside’s other individual winners were McIntosh, Abrielle Parker and Kylee Taylor.
McIntosh won the 1,600 in 7:01.38. Magnolia’s Emiga Blake was second in 7:13.95.
Parker captured the 400 in 1:08.72. Magnolia’s Aniyelle Kelly took second in 1:08.46.
Lee won the javelin with an 81-5. Haynesville’s Balaysia Drew was second with a 79-0.
Minden basketball standout Brooklyn Jefferson wasted no time making her presence felt on the track and in the field.
She won the high jump with a leap of 5-2 and finished second in the 200 in 27.10. The 200 finish was close with Jefferson’s teammate Pryncess Lathon winning by .03 seconds.
North Webster’s Kipper Wooten was second in the high jump with a 4-6.
The Minden foursome of Kiara Dixon, Mia Feaster, Christiyonna Kinsey and Terrika Hendon won the 4X400 relay in 4:38.21. The North Webster foursome of Tatyana Lawson, Kylee Sanders, Kamaria Blakely and Xhailor McGlothan was second in 4:50.25.
Lawson, McGlothan, Sanders and Demiya Moore won the 4X200 in 1:50.12. The Minden foursome of Teijah Henderson, Erial Blake, Jefferson and Lathon took second in 1:52.09.
The Minden foursome of Maekala White, Jakeria Jordan, Blake and Lathon was second in the 4X100 in 52.63. They finished just .06 behind Magnolia.
Hendon won the 300 hurdles in 49.81. Homer’s Dalisha Heard was second in 54.80.
Jonesboro-Hodge’s Ciara Gray won three events — the 100 hurdles (16.61), long jump (16-7) and triple jump (35-8).
North Webster’s Sanders was second in the triple jump with a 34-0.
