The Minden Lady Tiders defeated Simpson 8-3 Friday in the Stanley tournament.
Elsewhere, North Webster fell to Downsville 9-8 and Cedar Creek 16-0 in the Lakeside tournament.
Glenbrook fell to Grant 10-4 in the Grace Christian tournament in Alexandria.
Minden’s Lindsay Ryan pitched a two-hitter with 16 strikeouts and five walks. She also went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI.
Minden scored three runs in the first inning then got single runs in each of the next five.
Leigha Kennon Gilbert and Charli Flournoy both went 2-for-3 with doubles. Tatum Oliver had two RBI.
Minden (4-9) is scheduled to host Southwood Tuesday at 6 p.m.
At Lakeside, North Webster’s Jacklyn Beaty went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI against Downsville. Layla DeMoss went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Anna Ray went 2-for-4. Ella Campbell had a double.
North Webster (0-7) is scheduled to host Plain Dealing Monday at 5.
Glenbrook led Grant 4-3 after six innings. But the Lady Cougars scored seven in the top of the seventh.
Anna Grace Vining went 2-for-3. Vivian Still and Gabi Brown both went 2-for-4.
Grant (8-4) reached the semifinals of the non-select Division II playoffs last year.
Glenbrook (11-3) is scheduled to host St. Frederick Monday at 5.
