High school softball: Lakeside, Glenbrook, Minden claim district wins

The Lakeside Lady Warriors, Glenbrook Lady Apaches and Minden Lady Tiders won district games Tuesday.

Lakeside defeated Winnfield 14-9 in a District 3-2A game at Winnfield. The Lady Warriors (15-2, 3-0) clinched at least a share of the district championship.

Glenbrook routed Haynesville 18-3 in a District 1-1A game at Glenbrook. The Lady Apaches (13-5, 3-0) will host Cedar Creek for the championship next Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Minden defeated Loyola 14-1 in a District 1-4A game at Minden.

At Winnfield, eight Lady Warriors combined for 20 hits. Emily Jones went 4-for-5 with a double and four RBI. Pitcher McKenna Chreene went 4-for-6 with two RBI.

Meredith Robinson had three doubles and three RBI. Raleah Harris went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI. Maggie Mandino went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI.

Lakeside (15-2, 3-0) is scheduled to play in the Sulphur tournament later this week. Winnfield dropped to 7-7 and 1-1.

At Glenbrook, the Lady Apaches trailed 3-2 after two innings then broke the game open with 10 runs in the bottom of the third. They added six more in the fourth and final inning.

Colby Hollis went 3-for-3 with a triple and three RBI. Rebecca Mosley went 3-for-3 with a triple and double.

Hallie Harmon and Vivian Still both went 3-for-4 with doubles. Hadley Haynes went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI. Ellie Earnhardt went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Chloe Gregg had two RBI.

Savannah Mangrum went 3 1/3 innings for the win. She struck out five. She struck out nine and walked one,

At Minden, Lindsay Ryan pitched a no-hitter in the four inning game.

Eight Lady Tiders combined for 14 hits. Leigha Kennon-Gilbert went 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and four RBI,

Kaelynn Williams and Ryan went 2-for-3 with two doubles each. Annabelle Toland hit a two-run home. Lizzie Balkom hit a solo home run. Tatum Oliver had a double.

Minden (6-9, 2-0) is scheduled to host Doyline Friday at 5.

Doyline fell to Weston 15-5 in six innings in a District 1-B game at Weston.

Raelynn Pease went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Lanie Gates and Sariyah Gill had two hits each. The Lady Panthers fell to 3-4 and 0-2.
