The Minden Lady Tiders and Doyline Lady Panthers posted victories Tuesday.
Minden defeated Weston 13-11 at Minden and Doyline edged Loyola 7-6 at Loyola.
Elsewhere, Glenbrook fell to Cedar Creek 15-7 at Glenbrook in a game that decided the District 1-1A championship.
At Doyline, the Lady Panthers took a 5-4 lead with two runs in the top of the sixth. They added two in the seventh then held off a Loyola rally.
Kanyion Bartlett went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI. Pitcher Savannah Stanley, who struck out five, also went 2-for-4.
Doyline (5-5) hosts Jonesboro-Hodge Thursday at 4.
At Glenbrook, the game was tied at 6 after four innings. But Cedar Creek broke it open with six in the top of the fifth.
Gabi Brown went 3-for-4 with a home run, double and three RBI. Vivian Still went 2-for-4 with a home run, double and two RBI.
Cedar Creek’s Anna Claire Fitzgerald had two doubles and five RBI. Anslee Woods, Cadence Spangler and Molly Boyd all homered.
Glenbrook (14-6) visits Calvin Thursday at 5. Cedar Creek improved to 11-7.
