High school track and field; North Webster boys win Haynesville Invitational; Lakeside girls runners-up

North Webster and Haynesville won the team titles in the Haynesville Invitational held Friday at Lakeside.

The boys division was extremely close. North Webster scored 117 points, edging Minden by one point. Haynesville was third with 112.

Haynesville scored 114 points in the girls division. Lakeside was second with 104 and North Webster third with 97.

Boys

North Webster’s Jkobe Lawson won the 100 in 11.00. Haynesville’s Ethan Henderson was second in 11.19.

North Webster’s Xaeliin Gladney and Lawson finished 1-2 in the 200 in 22.04 and 22.78, respectively.

Minden’s Porter Neal won the 400 in 50.69. Haynesville’s Zykerius Fielding finished second in 53.77.

North Webster’s Stephen Merritt won the 3,200 in 12:36.92 and finished second in the 1,600 in 5:42.82. Red River’s Logan Mims won the 1,600 in 5:21.89. Haynesville’s Carl Smith was second in the 3,200 in 13:26.73.

Minden won the 4X200, 4X400 and 4X800 relays.

The foursome of Jaden Johnson, Kaiden Shine, Brayden Britton and Neal ran a 1:31.52 in the 4X200. Haynesville was second in 1:33.25.

The foursome of Shine, Britton, Christian Lofton and Neal ran a 3:36.85 in the 4X400. Haynesville was second in 3:50.63.

The foursome of Lincoln Woods, Keshun Williams, Jaiden Combs and Lofton ran a 9:37.30 in the 4X800. The North Webster team of Logan Cleveland, Kazavion Evans, Javion Hawthorne and Merritt took second in 9:37.30.

The North Webster foursome of JD Hardin, Gladney, Dejuan Coleman and Lawson won the 4X100 in 42.61. The Minden team of Johnson, Shine, Britton and Neal finished second in 43.95.

Lakeside’s Kentravion Miller won the shot put with a throw of 43-11. Minden’s Demetrius Robinson was second with a 43-1.5.

Minden’s Jonathan Bradford took the discus with a 125-0. Emerson’s Oree Johnson took second with a 113-7.

North Webster’s Jamyrian Jackson won the javelin with a 148-8. Red River’s B’Nodrick Winn finished second with a 123-3.

Minden’s Lofton and Carter Martin finished 2-3 in the 800 in 2:11.49 and 2:23.45, respectively. Mims won in 2:11.45.

Brayden Britton was second in the 110 hurdles in 15.88. Haynesville’s Isaiah Washington won in 15.05.

Minden’s Kayden Britton and North Webster’s Coleman tied for second in the high jump. Both cleared 5-10. Homer’s Jasiah Buggs won with a leap of 6-0.

North Webster’s Evans (300 hurdles) and Javion Hawthorne (discus) finished third in their respective events.

Girls 

North Webster’s Xhailor McGlothan won the 100 in 12.47. Homer’s Harmonie Allen was second in 12.73.

Minden’s Pryncess Lathon took the 200 in 26.48. Homer’s Henniyah Walker finished second in 27.61.

Lakeside’s Lexi Bradley and Annie Cooper finished 1-2 in the 800 in 2:36.42 and 2:45.05, respectively.

Lakeside’s Jalacia Roberson took the 300 hurdles in 54.65. Emerson’s Danielle Crockett was second in 57.35.

North Webster won the 4X100 and 4X200 relays.

The foursome of Lawson, Shakyra Hawkins, McGlothan and Kylee Sanders ran a 50.90 in the 4X100. Red River was second in 52.89.

The team of Lawson, McGlothan, De’Maiyh Moore and Sanders ran a 1:49.15 in the 4X200. Red River was second in 1:52.16.

The Lakeside foursome of Bradley, Collins, Bailey Mangrum and Alexis McIntosh won the 4X800 in 11:33.22. Emerson was second in 13:00.22.

Lakeside’s McKenzie Chase and Collins finished 1-2 in the pole vault. Chase cleared 8-6 and Collins 6-6.

North Webster’s Moore and Hawkins finished 1-2 in the long jump with leaps of 15-3 and 14-7, respectively.

Lakeside’s Nyla Braggs and Akajah Castle finished 1-2 in the shot put with throws of 29-10 and 29-9, respectively.

Minden’s Mia Feaster was second in the 400 in 1:07.28. Haynesville’s Mauri Jones won in 1:06.76.

North Webster’s Anna Merritt finished second in the 1,600 in 7:40.40. Emerson Kagen Gunnels won in 7:13.05.

Nortn Webster’s Sanders was second in the triple jump with a 32-2. Emerson’s Deneille Crockett won with a 33-4.

Third-place finishers from parish schools in individual events were North Webster’s Lawson (100), North Webster’s Moore (200), Lakeside’s Abrielle Parker (400), Minden’s Zoey Thrasher (800), Minden’s Jakeria Jordan (100 hurdles), North Webster’s Kipper Wooten (300 hurdles) and Lakeside’s Kylee Taylor (javelin).
