The Minden City Council meeting will be held on Monday, April 7 at 6 PM.
Preceding the regular meeting of the Minden City Council, there will be a workshop starting at 5 PM in the Pelican conference room.
Items to be discussed include city council agenda, Jessica Gorman, Dorcheat Historical Association Museum Executive Director, Nick Cox, Mayor – Minden Recreation Center Enhancement Plan, Nick Cox, Mayor – Office of Debt Recovery, Jared McIver, Police Chief – February 2025 Police Report, Brian Williams, Fire Chief – March 2025 Fire Report, Melaney Langford, City Clerk – February 2025 Budget Report.
The regular session will begin at 6 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers. The agenda for this month’s meeting includes the following items:

(2) Adopt minutes of the Minden City Council regular session held on March 3, 2025
(3) Adopt minutes of the Minden City Council special session held on March 7, 2025
(4) Adopt resolution – authorizing credit card signatory power (Main Street / Economic Development Director Sarah Overall)
(5) Adopt resolution – authorizing credit card signatory authority to the Mayor of the City of Minden to fulfill all requirements to submit the FY 2026-2024 LCDBG application
(6) Adopt resolution – authorizing Mayor Cox to execute, on behalf of and in the name of the City of Minden, a contract for Louisiana Community Development block grant administrative services
(7) Adopt resolution – authorizing Mayor Cox to execute, on behalf of and in the name of the City of Minden, a contract for Louisiana Community Development block grant engineering services
(8) Adopt resolution – declaring certain City of Minden property and surplus and fixing the terms of sale (office chairs)
(9) Authority to advertise for bids for the new two million gallon ground storage tank project
(10) Authority for Mayor cox to negotiate a funding agreement with Synergy Sports for overall project costs not to exceed $10,000
(11) Authority for Mayor cox to negotiate a funding agreement and a development agreement with Synergy Sports
(12) Decommissioning and leveling of the dilapidated structures located on 3.0 acres on Recreation Drive (Parcel #130575A)
