All five Webster parish teams have qualified for the LHSAA state playoffs.
District 1-1A champion Glenbrook (15-9) is the No. 5 seed in the select Division IV playoffs. The Apaches received a first-round bye. They will host No. 12 Ouachita Christian (15-15) in the second round.
Glenbrook defeated Ouachita Christian 4-2 in the quarterfinals last season.
District 3-2A co-champion Lakeside (18-14) is the No. 13 seed in non-select Division III. The Warriors will host No. 20 Crowley (16-15) in a best-of-3 first-round series.
Minden (17-14) is the No. 14 seed in non-select Division II. The Crimson Tide will host No. 19 Cecilia (17-14) in a best-of-3 first-round series.
Doyline (10-13) is the No. 14 seed in Class B. The Panthers will host No. 19 Florien (11-13) in the first round.
North Webster (11-11) is the No. 24 seed in non-select Division III. The Knights will visit No. 9 (15-14) French Settlement in the first round.
For the first time, the playoffs in non-select and select Divisions I, II and III will be best-of-3 series throughout the playoffs. The championship series are scheduled for May 15-17 in Sulphur.
First-round series in those divisions can begin as early as Wednesday but most will likely be Friday and Saturday.
First-round games in Divisions IV and Class B must be played by April 26.
Glenbrook reached the championship game last season as the No. 11 seed. The Apaches fell to No. 1 Opelousas Catholic 10-0 after defeating the No. 6, No. 3 and No. 2 seeds. Covenant Christian (33-0), which Glenbrook defeated in the semifinals, is the No. 1 seed this year.
Lakeside reached the quarterfinals of non-select Division IV as the No. 5 seed. The Warriors fell to No. 4 DeQuincy. 4-0.
Minden reached the quarterfinals as the No. 14 seed. The Tide fell to No. 6 North Vermilion two games to one.
Doyline was the No. 12 seed in non-select Division V last year. The Panthers fell to eventual state champion Quitman 4-3 in the second round.
Classes B and C have since reunited.
North Webster was also the No. 24 seed last year. The Knights fell to No. 9 Loreauville two games to none in the first round.
