Athletes from Webster Parish schools posted high finishes in the Haughton Buccaneer Relays Thursday at Haughton.
North Webster’s Xaeliin Gladney won the boys 200 in 22.54 seconds. Calvary Baptist’s Kolby Thomas was second in 22.59.
Gladney also finished third in the 100 in 11.30. North DeSoto’s Braylen Delton won in 11.23.
Minden’s Demetrius Robinson was second in the boys shot put with a throw of 41 feet, 8 inches. Parkway’s Devon Oliver won with a 47-9.
North Webster’s Xhailor McGlothan finished third in the girls 200 in 26.49. Airline’s Jaycie Wallace won in 25.74.
Lakeside’s Lexi Bradley finished second in the girls 3,200 in 13:39.44 and third in the 800 in 2:34.36. Parkway’s Ember Pierce won the 3,200 in 12:21.63. Parkway’s Lauren Taylor took the 800 in 2:31.53.
The North Webster foursome of Tatyana Lawson, De’Maiyh Moore, McGothan and Kylee Sanders was second in the girls 4X100 relay in 49.49. Airline won in 48.09.
The Lakeside foursome of Bradley, Angel Collins, Annie Cooper and Bailey Mangrum finished second in the 4X800 relay in 11:09.01. Haughton won in 11:04.47.
Lakeside McKenzie Chase took second in the girls pole vault. She and three other competitors cleared 8-6. Haughton’s Julianna Boyett won on fewer misses.
District meets are next week.
The District 1-4A meet is Thursday at North DeSoto.
The District 1-3A meet is Wednesday at West Monroe. The District 3-2A meet is Wednesday at Mansfield.
The District 1-1A meet is Tuesday at Lakeside. The District 1-B meet is Wednesday at Castor.
