Celebration of Life Services for Albert Solomon will be held Saturday, February 1st at 11:00 A.M. at King Solomon Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney E. Williams, officiating.  Interment will follow at the Union CME Cemetery. 

Albert Solomon was born to January 19, 1953 in Shreveport, LA to Katie Bell Solomon.

He accepted Christ as his personal Saviour at an early age and united with the Mt. Elam B.C. where he remained a member for over 50+ years.  

Albert was graduate of Central High School Class of 1972.  He was employed as a Corrections Officer for Bossier Parish Juvenile Detention Center and also worked at the Commissary.  He loved to travel, to fish and to Dress Up.  Albert loved cars and music, especially being a DJ.

Albert Solomon departed this earthly life on January 25, 2020 in Minden, Louisiana.  He was proceeded in death by his mother and a daughter, Stephanie Solomon.

Albert Solomon leaves to cherish his precious  memory his daughters, Jennifer Jackson (Rodrick) and Cynthia Ridley (Thomas), all of Minden; six grandchildren:  Allen Shed (LaShayla), Chasity Jackson, Charity Jackson Evans (Dennis), Keidra Ridley, Chadrick Jackson, and Chelsea Jackson; four great grandchildren; three brothers, L. D. Solomon (Gloria) of Minden, John Bennett (Mable) of Heflin, and Bruce Solomon (Vershetta) of Homer, LA; two sisters, Brenda Willis of Heflin and Emma Germany of Homer; uncles, Rev. Willie Solomon, Sr. (Eunice) and Dezzie Solomon, of Heflin; special friend, Sherry Edwards and her children; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 15th in the chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.   Services are entrusted to Kennon’s Mortuary.  Email condolences may be sent to [email protected]
