Memorial services for Alva R. English will be Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden with the Rev. Leon Boggs officiating. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to service time.
Alva was born Jan. 1, 1941 in Minden and entered into rest Nov.27, 2017 in Homer. He was retired Mud Logger and sold insurance for many years.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brandon English, brother, Wilton English and his parents, Kasper English and Louise English.
He is survived by the mother of his son, Brenda Sherrill English, brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Glenda Sherrill Broughton, his sister, Elsie Sewell and husband Bob, June Crossley, Harriett Pearson and one brother, Ben English and wife Linda, sister-in-law, Ann English. Also surviving, a host of nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
