Our precious butterfly Anna Lavelle James, “Annabelle” (16), went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 6, 2026. She was born on November 24, 2009.
Anna will be remembered for her love and vibrant expressions, that she loved deeply, unconditionally and freely. Even though her light has been extinguished, her memory will forever burn bright.
She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Alton James and Thomas Perry Eubanks; great-grandmother, Annie Lee Allen Dawson. She is survived by “Mama” Tonya Eubanks Howell, Father Larry Levelle James, “Daddy Mike” Michael Howell, “Momma” Anita James as well as numerous siblings: Allan Bankston, Laura James Needham, Ladonna James Harrell, Landy James, Lacie James, Elisha Howell Linder, Cody West, Alyssa Howell, Dusti Doyle, Dean Goodnite, Taylor Goodnite, Jason Vailes, Matthew Vailes, Casie Vailes; grandparents, Terry Dawson Gross, Peggy James Walker and Sharon Browder Howell and many friends she considered sisters and brothers.
Funeral service celebrating Anna will be held at Living Word in Minden at 440 State Rte 531 Minden, La. Visitation is from 12:00-2:00 funeral is at 2:00 pm Saturday August 15, 2026. Graveside to follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana.
Donations may be made to Minden High School Theatre and Drama Club.
