Annie Laura Johnson, 92, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, after a brief illness.
Born on November 25, 1933, in Haynesville, Louisiana, Annie Laura was the daughter of Emmett and Mattie McBee. She graduated from Haynesville High School in 1952 and later married her high school sweetheart, J.C. Johnson. Their loving marriage spanned 63 years.
Annie Laura was a long-time resident of Minden, Louisiana, having lived there for 45 years. She was a faithful and devoted member of First United Methodist Church of Minden. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Annie Laura treasured the time she spent with those she loved.
She especially enjoyed socializing with friends and traveling to Baton Rouge to cheer on the LSU Tigers football team. Supporting her family and celebrating life’s simple joys brought her great happiness.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, J.C. Johnson; her parents, Emmett and Mattie McBee of Haynesville; her brother, Allen McBee of Haynesville; and her sons, Richard and Don Johnson of Minden.
She is survived by her four grandchildren: Heath Johnson and wife, Amy of Dallas, Texas; Lauren Mitchell and husband, John of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Kyle Johnson and wife, Alexandra of Dallas, Texas; and Dylan Johnson (Megan) of Dallas, Texas; and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church in Minden.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at Garden Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.
No formal services will be provided. The family has chosen to celebrate her life privately.
