The Webster Parish Libraries’ Minden branch successfully hosted its annual Trunk or Treat event on October 30, welcoming children and their families for an engaging and festive celebration. Despite inclement weather that prompted a shift from outdoor to indoor activities due to chilly temperatures and earlier rainfall, the event maintained its allure.

Participants, adorned in fun and creative costumes, enjoyed activities, including receiving treats, engaging in games, and exploring the eerie yet fascinating sensory room. The festivities featured an array of attractions such as face painting, balloon art, marshmallow roasting, pumpkin painting contests, and an exciting encounter with an assortment of wildlife.

The overwhelming turnout saw a lengthy line wrapping around the building as numerous attendees eagerly joined the revelry, highlighting the event’s popularity within the Minden community.

Organizations participating in this annual affair contribute to its success, and those interested in involvement for the upcoming year are advised to secure their spots early, as demand swiftly fills available slots.

The Trunk or Treat event, despite weather-related challenges, maintained its tradition of providing a frolicking and enjoyable experience for all participants.
