High school boys basketball: Doyline rolls past Castor in season opener

The Doyline Panthers opened the season with a 74-47 rout of Castor Tuesday night at Doyline.

Jay Patterson, a 6-foot freshman guard, had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. He also had two steals, one assist and one block.

Cayden Mingo, a 5-9 senior point guard, had 17 points, five rebounds, five steals and four assists.

Demarion McClendon, a 5-8 junior point guard, had 15 points, seven assists, two rebounds and two steals.

Keidric Clark, a 6-4 senior wing, had 12 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal. 

DJ Webb, a 5-10 eighth-grade guard, had seven points.

The Panthers return to action Thursday against Monterey at home.
