On October 21, The Tractor Shed, in collaboration with the North Louisiana Vintage Tractor Club, hosted its annual Antique & Vintage Tractor Show. This event, a haven for antique tractor and equipment enthusiasts, showcased a remarkable assembly of over 80 fully restored tractors, with the Tractor Club contributing an additional 10 for this special occasion.
The exhibited tractors spanned a wide historical range, including classics such as the 1928 McCormick-Deering 10-20 and the 1984 International 5488. Visitors were also treated to the sight of a military-used Caterpillar D7G dozer and a group of 1970s GMC 9500 trucks, alongside a well-preserved 1947 KB5 International flatbed.
In addition to these iconic pieces of machinery, the exhibit featured an impressive collection of over 80 model tractors from the 1950s, as well as 10 meticulously restored peddle tractors from the 1960s.
Attendees enjoyed the comfort of the climate-controlled Tractor Shed. For those who missed this event, there are still opportunities to explore these historical gems. The Tractor Shed opens its doors to the public approximately once every other month on a Saturday.
