Dubberly man indicted for second degree murder in 2022 disappearance

by Minden Press-Herald

A Dubberly man has been indicted by a Webster Parish grand jury on a charge of second degree murder in connection with the 2022 disappearance of a Texas woman.

Allton Cravens, 42, of the 100 block of Sand Plant Road, was initially arrested in 2023 in connection with the disappearance of 30-year-old Darnesha Thompson, a mother of two from Texas who was visiting the area when she was reported missing in March 2022. Thompson’s body has still not been located.

Major Bobby Igo III, head of the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office Investigative Division, credited Det. Karen McDonald for her work on the case.

“She was relentless. She deserves lots of credit for her efforts,” Igo said.

Cravens was also indicted for obstruction of justice. He is being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center with bond set at $500,000.
