Apaches fall 42-7 to Central Hinds

by Minden Press-Herald

RAYMOND, Mississippi – To the Glenbrook Apaches, the first two weeks of the season must feel like forever ago.

Glenbrook traveled across state lines Friday night to take on the Central Hinds Academy Cougars of MAIS Class AAA, coming out on the losing end of a 42-7 blowout.

The Cougars, who held a noteworthy size and speed advantage over the Apaches, scored back-to-back touchdowns right away to take a 14-0 lead midway through the first quarter and never looked back.

The Apaches didn’t put their only touchdown of the night on the board until late in fourth-quarter action.

It’s the second straight loss for Glenbrook, as the Apaches now sport a 2-2 record.

Glenbrook has an opportunity to get back on track this week against Claiborne Academy at home in the Apaches’ homecoming game.
