Antonio Lavel Germany, 22, aka “Tony,” of the 1100 block of 6th Street SW, was arrested for distribution of Schedule II CDS (crack cocaine), aggravated battery, armed robbery and two counts of simple battery of the infirmed. Bond was set at $350,000.
Germany was located at his 6th Street residence and apprehended by Springhill Police and the U.S. Marshal’s Service.
Springhill Police Chief Will Lynd said in January the incident occurred on New Year’s Eve when the victim went to the ATM machine at his bank to withdraw some cash. He says a group of young males, one carrying a gun, put a gun to the man’s face and robbed him of approximately $600.
“They beat him up and tore his clothes off of him,” he said in January. “The victim is an older gentleman and appears to have some mental issues.”
Johntavious Rabb, 20, was arrested in January in connection with this case. Police say Rabb was arrested for aggravated battery, armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and simple battery of persons with infirmities. Rabb is the suspect police say pointed the gun at the victim.
Germany was transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center following booking at the Springhill Police Department.
