Miss Louisiana’s Teen Ava Martin is headed to West Palm Beach, Florida, to represent Louisiana in the Miss America’s Teen 2027 competition.

Martin is scheduled to depart from Shreveport Regional Airport on Friday, August 28, beginning her journey to the national competition, which runs through September 6.

The Miss America’s Teen competition will include contestants from across the country competing for the national title. Preliminary competition begins September 1 at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, with events including evening gown, fitness, and on-stage question. The talent preliminary competition is scheduled for September 3.

The Miss America’s Teen final competition and crowning are scheduled for 7 PM September 5 at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach.

For Martin, the national competition represents an opportunity to carry her home state and hometown with her to the national stage.

“I’m incredibly honored to carry Louisiana with me to Miss America’s Teen. This opportunity is bigger than a crown, it’s a chance to represent the people, communities, and values that have shaped me. I’m heading to nationals with so much gratitude, ready to soak in every moment and make Louisiana proud!” Martin said.

Martin, a recent graduate of Minden High School, won the Miss Louisiana’s Teen title in April after qualifying for the state competition as Union Parish’s Teen. Her state victory made her the first contestant from Minden to win the Miss Louisiana’s Teen title and the first local resident to advance to the national Miss America’s Teen stage.

As she prepares to travel to Florida, Martin will carry both the state title and the support of her hometown as she competes on the Miss America’s Teen stage, representing Louisiana and making history for Minden.
