B1BANK 365 to Rich Bank Day

by Minden Press-Herald

B1BANK had four High School Seniors participate in the Louisiana Bankers Association’s “365 to Rich Bank Day” on October 23, 2018.  The students met with various employees and had presentations on Banking Careers, Controlling their Financial Future, and Financial Literacy. 365 to Rich Bank Day is a state-wide program for high school seniors to spend a day shadowing a banker. During the bank shadow day, the students visit each department of the bank, meets senior management and shadows the banker contact for the day. The name, 365 to Rich, comes from the actions that take place after the shadow day when the students will receive a daily text for 365 days on ways to become “rich” in all ways such as money, work, knowledge, service, relationships, etc. After the 365 to Rich Bank Day, the students can write an essay, 500-1000 words, that will be judged among the others across the state, with one student being awarded an iPad.
