NORTH MYRTLE BEACH – Minden’s last team standing was eliminated from the Dixie World Series on Sunday, ending a remarkable summer for baseball here in Minden.
The AAA group fought there hearts out, making Minden proud in there short stay at the world series.

C.J. Watts led the way with a home run and a double for Minden. Brandon Winston smashed a double, while Maddox Mandino and Landry Powell had a pair of base hits. Jake Wilkins, Cason Clemons and Cooper Chase rounded out the offense with base hits.

The North Carolina starter limited Minden to one hit, a double by Bryce Powell.
Maddox Mandino singled in the fourth inning, but North Carolina hung on to get the final outs needed for the win.
