Ben Lee MiltonBen Lee Milton was born July 17, 1935, in Wynne, Arkansas, and he passed from this life March 30, 2015, in Shreveport.

He retired as a heavy equipment operator after 50 years. He enjoyed being outdoors whether he was hunting, fishing or gardening. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Minden.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Betty Milton of Dixie Inn; his three children, Ricky Milton and wife, Lorrie of West Monroe, Wade Milton and wife, Cindy of Grayson and Reba Briscoe and husband, Steve of Columbia; stepdaughter, Cindy Scroggs and husband, Max of Minden; grandchildren, Stephanie, David, Lauralee, Benjamin Lee, Robert Wade, Aaron, Lynn, Chris, Joe and Hannah; and great-grandchildren, Gregory, Conner, Leala, Benjamin, Isaac, Abby, Sam, Max and Lyla. He is also survived by two sisters, two half-brothers and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Wade Milton, Ricky Milton, Aaron Briscoe, Lynn Briscoe, Joe Scroggs and T.J. Bird.

Graveside services for Ben will be at 11 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2015, at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson with Max and Chris Scroggs officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m., Thursday at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia.
