Celebration of life services for Benjamin Alphonso Harrison will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 at Mt. Comfort Baptist Church with Bishop Kelvin Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Comfort B.C. Cemetery.
Benjamin Harrison was born Oct. 24, 1966 in Shreveport to Mary Mims. He departed this earthly life on Sept. 6, 2017. He was preceded in death by aunts, Nella Shyne, Claretha Givens, and Rosie Woods.
Benjamin was an avid Dallas Cowboys and LSU sports fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends; Bennie always had a joke that would make everyone laugh.
Benjamin leaves to cherish his memories, her mother, Mary Mims Thomas of Minden; one brother, Willie James Harrison (Sheretha) of Minden; three sisters, Mary Jane Harrison of Minden, Dr. Christene Samuels (Kenner) of Fredrick, MD, and Jane Sneed of Minden; aunts, Patricia Harris (Leonard), Annie Pearl Jackson, Catherine Turner an Gloria Mims; ; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 15 in the chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Services are entrusted to Kennon’s Mortuary. Email condolences may be sent to [email protected].
