The circus is coming to town, but don’t expect to hear the roar of lions or the trumpeting of elephants.
Fantazia Circus will bring its Brazilian-style show to Minden for two performances Monday and Tuesday.
Brazilian-style shows are animal-free due to laws in Brazil, which restrict animals from participating. Acts will include acrobats, balancers, jugglers, aerialists and clowns.
In the Globe of Death, the headline act, performers will weave around each other inside a steel globe reaching speeds of 40-miles-per-hour on motorcycles.
Entertainers will also perform acrobatics on the trampoline.
The show, lasting one hour and 45 minutes, will start at 7 p.m. both days at the B F Martin Community Life Center, located at the intersection of B F Martin Drive and East Union Street near Save-A-Lot grocery store.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children. With a ticket found at local stores around town, two children will be admitted for free with a purchase of an adult ticket.
