Brenda Joyce Henderson Pickett met her Lord and Savior face to face on December 12, 2023. Brenda was born January 9, 1943, in Junction City, Louisiana.
A long-time resident of Minden, Brenda graduated from Minden High School, she attended Bossier Parish Community College and Louisiana Tech, and retired from the VA Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana. Brenda loved to read, especially biographies and history, and researching her family history.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Pickett, parents, Clyde and Ruby Henderson, and brother, Joseph Henderson.
Brenda is survived by her sister, Gloria Gravitt of Bossier City, her niece, Cathy Gravitt Scott and 3 nephews, Barry Gravitt, Brian Gravitt, and Wesley Henderson.
Special thanks to the staff of Southern Oaks Nursing Home in Shreveport for the loving care given to Brenda for the last few years.
A private service will be held at a later date.
