Cadets receive instruction in a “hands on” military type environment experiencing such things as: 30’ Rappelling tower, obstacle course, Land Navigation course, and water survival skills.
During this year’s JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge Camp (JCLC), two Cadets from Minden High School were recognized for their outstanding leadership.
Minden High School students KeiVondrick Brown, First Platoon, Bravo Company, and Ian Ruff, First Platoon, Alpha Company, won Best Cadet.
Each summer, every Louisiana JROTC Battalion sends eight to 10 Cadets to a capstone exercise (JCLC) where they practice their leadership skills in an unfamiliar environment.Cadets receive instruction in a “hands on” military type environment experiencing such things as: 30’ Rappelling tower, obstacle course, Land Navigation course, and water survival skills.
This year the camp took place May 24 through 27 2016 located on the LA National Guard, Camp Minden training center.
