Bruce Willson Speaks to Lions

Bruce Willson, President and CEO of United Way of Northwest Louisiana, joined the Minden Lions Club as guest speaker to share a brief background on the organization and promote the release of United Way’s 2-1-1 Program. The 2-1-1 Program is a call-in line used to provide help and hope to struggling citizens within United Way of NWLA’s 11-parish reach. People may call 2-1-1 for things such as: food assistance, housing/shelter assistance, education and job training, employment help, rent and utility assistance, counseling and rehabilitation, transportation assistance, support groups and disaster services.
