September 12, 1947- January 17, 2025
Carl Smith was born on September 12, 1947 to the late Chester and Jonnie Smith. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, brother and nephew. He is survived by his sister, Deborah Whitson, one son, Carl Ray Smith, Jr. and three grandchildren.
Carl was a longtime caretaker for Denny and Mary Long for their camp on Lake Bistineau. He enjoyed everything outdoors including gardening, planting flowers, feeding the birds and squirrels, fishing and cooking. He fished many tournaments over the years and earned the title, “Mr Bistineau”.
Carl was hospitalized for a brief battle with covid pneumonia. He entered into the arms of his precious Savior on January 17, 2025, with his beloved friends by his side. He left a mark on many lives, even through his sickness, he ministered to others. His words of encouragement would be to have a close, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
