The Greater Minden Chamber will host its 76th annual Membership Banquet on January 25, and Thursday the Chamber opened up nominations for several business and businessperson awards.
The awards to be presented at the banquet include Small Business of the Year, Business of the Year, Business Person of the Year, and Community Partner of the Year. People can nominate candidates for these awards by following a survey link on the Greater Minden Chamber Facebook page or by calling 318-377-4240.
Stephanie Barnette, Chamber president, said the banquet’s theme is quite different from years past.
“It will be an elegant evening on the Red Carpet honoring our top business professionals and businesses of our community with a few new surprises thrown in,” she said.
The Man of the Year and Woman of the Year awards, chosen by the Minden Lions Club, will also be presented at the banquet.
The event will be held at the Minden Civic Center, and its primary sponsor is the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Minden.
Barnette said businesses could benefit from the numerous potential contacts in attendance.
“We had over 500 people in attendance last year,” she said. “It is a great networking opportunity for the business community.”
Award nominations will be accepted until December 28.
