Funeral services for Charles L. “Chuck” Potts will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden with the Rev. Dee Anders officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2015, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Charles was born June 23, 1954, in Shreveport and entered into rest May 13, 2015, in Shreveport. He was a member of Sheppard Heights Assembly of God where he played the bass guitar and sang. He was an avid fisherman and also sang at the VFW.
Although Chuck had no children, he helped raise many nieces, nephews, and other children.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris “Dot” Potts; mother, Nellie Cade; stepfather, Benjamin H. Cade; and father, Floyd Potts.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Potts of Minden; brothers, Jimmy Potts of Minden, Johnny Potts and Dodie of Hallsville, Texas, Guy Cade and Karen of Minden; sisters, Rosemary Jones of Overton, Texas, Geneva Gill of Hallsville, Texas; stepsons Cody Weeks of Minden, Clint Godwin of Minden; and numerous nieces; nephews; and friends.
