Citizens National Bank hosts ground breaking event

by David Specht

Citizens National Bank is making groundbreaking changes in Minden in a very literal sense of the word. Citizens National Bank is furthering their investment in Minden and the local community through an expansion project, and am event held Tuesday afternoon made for a symbolic start with bank staff and community figures shoveling the first bits of dirt to make way for the new project.

“It is exciting to be a part of Citizens National Banks as we make this investment in my home town. The Minden CNB team looks forward to serving our friends and neighbors as we grow together,” said Greg Lee, Sr VP, Business Banker.

Lee also stated that this expansion will allow for CNB to have more space to serve more of their customers and potentially for them to add employment opportunities for local citizens. The project itself is planned to be wrapped up later this year.

“Citizens National Bank is thrilled to be expanding its branch and presence in Minden. We are looking forward to continuing to serve the city’s businesses, residents, churches, and municipalities,” said Jason D. Smith, President of Citizens National Bank.

“Our current directorship includes Minden natives Sherb Sentell and Kent Gibson as well as Webster Parish businessmen Jay Hearnsberger, Wayne McMahen and Robert Garland. Greg Lee, Sarah Haynes, and the rest of the CNB team are committed to Minden’s success.”
