On September 8, 1943, in Minden Louisiana, a son was born to Beulah Mae McGlothen and Clemon Jones Sr. He was named Clemon Jones Jr.
Clemon Jones “Sweet Red” met Shirley Ann Frazier the love of his life.” On August 5, 1962, they were united in Holy Matrimony, and to this union five children were born.
He confessed Christ at an early age and united with New Light Baptist Church where he was a member.
He received his education from Webster High School in Minden Louisiana. He was a proud member of the Webster Wolves class of 1961. He served as Treasurer of the class for many reunions.
Clemon’s first job was at the Army Ammunition Plant in production operations on “Y” line in 1961. He spent over 15 years working for International Paper Company in Springhill, Louisiana as a Oiler Maintneance. He also sent several years working for Sperry Rail Services as a Rail Mechanic. Clemon ended his career working for The Fibrebond Corporation working the construction of equipment shelters (carpenter).
On February 6, 2018, God knew it was time for Clemon to have some peace and rest, so he called him home. Clemon is no longer with us but his love, wisdom, and grace will always be present through the wonderful memories that we shared.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann Jones of 53 years, one son; Trovoski Delshon Jones, his mother and father the late Clemon Jones Sr. and Beulah Mae McGlothen, one brother-in-law; Harold Frazier.
He leaves to cherish his memories of strength, wisdom, humility and love to his lovely three daughters: Jacqueline Jones Patterson (Elmo), Chunda L. Jones (Victor) of Minden, Katrina Jones Brown (David) of Mansfield, TX. A loving and caring mother-in-law, Gladys Frazier Drew of Minden, La. Daughter in law: Cristy Jones of Haughton, La, one sister Annie Jones Moore (Willie) and one sister-in-law Sueletha Frazier both of Minden. Five grandchildren; Kartonio D. Jones, Andrieeta Shay Moore (Bruce) of Minden, Ke’Andrea Brown of Mansfield, Texas. Zaria and ZaKeria Jones both of Haughton, La.; five great grandchildren; Kartonio Combs of Shreveport, La; Kentravion Lister, LeRoyal Key, Kamayiah,and Kaiden Moore all of Minden, La. numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
