A Peach Street woman was arrested after crack cocaine was reportedly found in her purse during a traffic stop.

Feleshia Whitfield, 51, was booked on charges of possession of crack cocaine and powder cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, broken taillight and no driver’s license.

During a traffic stop for a broken taillight, Whitfield reportedly told deputy Shawn Jenkins that she did not have a driver’s license and had just picked the truck up from her boyfriend.

Whitfield gave the deputy permission to search the vehicle after telling him she had a liquor bottle in her purse, according to the arrest affidavit.

Inside Whitfield’s purse, a used razor blade, rolling papers along with a piece of tissue with suspected cocaine powder was found, the report said. A second tissue was also reportedly found with a crack cocaine rock inside of it.

She reportedly told the deputy she had used cocaine earlier in the evening.

Whitfield was placed under arrested and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
