University of Louisiana outfielder Maddox Mandino, a former Glenbrook star, is entering the transfer portal.
Mandino, who recently completed his junior season, made the announcement on the social media website X.
“Thankful and grateful for the opportunities UL has given me for the past 3 years. With that being said I have decided to hit the transfer portal with 1 year of eligibility left,” he wrote.
Mandino batted .278 with seven doubles, two triples and 18 RBI this past season.
He was named to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament All-Tournament team after helping the Cajuns reach the championship round. He was 11-of-19 through his first four games.
Mandino went 3-for-7 in the Starkville Regional won by Mississippi State. Louisiana finished 41-25.
