Contractors heading up the cleanup of millions of pounds of M6 propellant will be at a meeting Thursday to give an update on the progress of the contained burn unit.
Set for 6:30 until 8 p.m., the meeting will be at the dining hall (building 181), at Camp Minden. Explosive Service International, El Dorado Engineering, the Louisiana Military Department, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will be on hand during the meeting.
Officials will go over information on the next steps for the contained burn system, specifically, explaining what tests and performance measures are needed for the burn system to become fully operational.
Camp Minden is located at 9649 Highway 80.
