Councilmen Still No-Shows for Meeting

Once again the Minden City Council failed to have enough present members for a quorum. This meeting did however set a new record for the shortest, with the live stream lasting no more than three minutes and forty-five seconds.

This time around neither of the present Councilmen chose to provide a comment, but Mayor Terry Gardner did take some time to encourage citizens to go out and support the local economy, given that today marks the first day of Phase One of Louisiana’s Re-Opening.

“Today is Phase One of re-opening our city. I want to encourage everyone to go out and support the local economy. Just remember when you go out or go to restaurants to eat or things like that, be sure to practice your social distancing that the Governor still encourages us to do and wear facemasks as well,” said Gardner.

The next meeting will be scheduled Wednesday, May 20, at 11 a.m. It can be viewed live at the City’s Youtube Channel titled City of Minden – Feels Like Home.
