Cultural Crossroads hosts pottery workshop, prepares for fall events

by Amber McDown

Cultural Crossroads of Minden hosted a hands-on pottery workshop for its members on Sunday, September 14, at the Farm of Cultural Crossroads. The event, led by artist Mandie Ebard, offered a creative experience for those interested in learning more about pottery.

Membership in Cultural Crossroads costs $30 per year and provides access to workshops, meetings, and other opportunities. The organization is also preparing for one of its largest annual events, the Minden Makers Fair, scheduled for November 1.

Individuals interested in teaching their craft are encouraged to contact Elaine Eaton at the Farm of Cultural Crossroads. Memberships can be purchased online at www.culturalcrossroadsofminden.org by selecting “More” and then “Become a Member.”

Cultural Crossroads, formed in 1994 by founder Chris Broussard and a group of local business leaders, is Webster Parish’s only nonprofit arts organization. Its mission is to preserve culture while recognizing and promoting the arts in the region.
