Demolition of Minden High School grandstands underway

Demolition of Minden High School’s The Pit grandstands began late Thursday afternoon with a track hoe removing fencing and railing surrounding the grandstands. The majority of it is set to come down Monday. Webster Parish Schools Maintenance Supervisor Buster Flowers says demolition equipment began moving in Thursday afternoon and will continue through Friday. On Thursday, utility companies located and disconnected power, water, sewer and gas lines, capping them off to avoid problems during demolition.
