Dorcheat Museum to host annual fundraiser September 9

by Amber McDown

The Dorcheat Historical Association Museum will host its most important fundraising event of the year on Monday, September 9, at 6:00 PM. The event supports the museum’s operations for the coming year, with all proceeds going toward its preservation efforts.

A highlight of the evening will be a live cake auction, led by Richard Campbell, also known as “Dr. Feelgood.” Attendees are encouraged to bring a cake donation for the auction and enjoy a night of fun.

Tickets are available in advance for $25 per person and will cost $30 at the door. Refreshments will be provided, and casual attire is recommended.

Those interested in purchasing tickets can do so at the museum, by mailing a check to P.O. Box 1094, Minden, LA 71058, or online at Dorcheat Museum’s website: www.dorcheatmuseum.com/.

For those unable to attend, donations are welcome and can be made through PayPal or credit card at PayPal’s donation page.

The museum encourages everyone to attend and support its efforts in preserving Minden’s history for future generations.
