Dorcheat Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors is proud to announce winners of the 2024 Scholarships: From Minden High School, Aaron Buffington and Parker Davidson and from North Webster High School, Brice Baker. Each of these students received a $500.00 award and upon receiving their first semester/quarter grades, with a GPA of 3.0 or better, will receive another $500.00 award.
Mrs. Harol Thompson, Dorcheat SWCD Board Member and a retired teacher, established this program several years ago.
Each year, scholarships are presented to two or more high school seniors from Webster Parish Schools and or homeschooled students who will major in the field of science. This includes medical science.
